What is a Notary Public?
As a qualified Notary Public, Stephen Prior can provide the following notarial services:
- Witness the execution of international documents such as mortgages, authorities and powers of attorney.
- Authenticate any document that is required to be produced overseas or provided to an overseas government department or institution.
- Certify copies of international documents.
- Witness affidavits for use in court cases internationally.
In Victoria, a notary public is a solicitor who has been appointed by the Supreme Court to serve as a Notary Public. Unlike a Justice of the Peace, a Notary Public is able to execute, witness and authenticate or certify documents for use both overseas and within Australia.
